Membership

Membership is on a rolling basis (1 Years membership from whenever you join) and includes third party insurance cover directly through Perkins Slade.

The SPKA provides a confirmation of cover to members as well as an SPKA keyring which can be used as proof of membership at SPKA events.

Renewals: Warning! If membership is not renewed on or before the renewal date then membership will expire and you will no longer be covered until you re-join.

It is unfortunate, but due to a general rise in insurance premiums we have had to increase membership fees from 1st November 2011. From this date Full membership will rise to £28 and Family membership will increase to £60. We will however be keeping our junior membership at £20.

Full Membership: £28

 

Cover up to £5 million, 3rd Party Liability Insurance. This is a blanket insurance policy provided via Perkins Slade that covers all power kite related activities. You will also receive Pilots licencing, attendance and voting rights at SPKA AGM and eligibility to Committee Membership.

Junior Membership: £20


Cover up to £5 million, 3rd Party Liability Insurance. This is a blanket insurance policy provided via Perkins Slade that covers all power kite related activities. You will also receive Pilots licencing, attendance and voting rights at SPKA AGM and eligibility to Committee Membership. Junior members must be under 18 upon the date of commencement or renewal of the policy. Confirmation of D.O.B is required as well as a counter-signature of a parent or guardian for consent and agreement to terms. (please supply via post or scanned via email to the membership secretary)

Family Membership: £60

 

This offers the same benefits as Full membership, but is aimed at 2 parents, with any number of children (under 18 at the same address). Only 2 keyrings provided as standard, please state who is to have a keyring.

Additional and replacement keyrings: £1
